“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. “[Al-Quran 3:190]
“Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.” [Al-Quran 7:54]
Say, “O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.” [Al-Quran 3:26]
Allah is the creator from whom everything has its life and through whom everything is maintained and supported even though fixed laws or established ones; for its regulation and government. In the universe, the laws and nature is fixed and everything runs according to its appointed course. The government and regulation behind it is still that of Allah.
Allah created the sun which is the main source of energy for human beings. In the presence of sunlight the plants produces grains, fruits and vegetables by photosynthesis. Plants also have reproductive organs like male stamen and female pistil. The date, palm and other fruits, vegetables and grains are all fed by the kind of soil and water. Yet how different harvest which they yielded! This is the miraculous power of Allah.
“Allah is the One who raised the heavens without pillars. You can see them. Then He positioned Himself on the Throne and subjugated the sun and the moon, each one running to an appointed time. He manages all matters, making the signs plain, so that you may be sure of meeting your Lord. And He is the One who spread out the earth and made mountains and rivers therein, and of all the fruits, He created therein the pairs of two. He makes the night cover the day. Surely, in that there are signs for a people who think. And in the earth there are tracts of land neighboring each other and gardens of grapes and farms and date palms, having twin or single trunks, watered with one water. And We make some better than others in taste. Surely, in that there are signs for a people who understand. “[Al-Quran 13:2-4]
In reality man has no power to make anything even for his personal use; rather it is Allah who makes things work for human beings while their role in it is nominal. If man who is so pleased with the ways and means which help make things work for him; were to open his eyes, he would realize that his plans and measures could neither create nor make things in the real sense. The outcome of all his efforts and workings is no more than getting to learn how to make the best use of what has been already created by Allah.
Besides, even the system of harnessing what is universally available for use is outside the ambit of power exercised by human beings. The reason is that human beings depend on hundreds and thousands of others like him, and on animals, and on many other live and inert members of Divine creation. These they cannot put on their jobs just by dint of their plans and efforts. This is the function of the Divine power. It has linked up everything, as if in a chain and in a way that everything gets to be drawn into the desired action. You need to build a house. You find a whole range of servers from the architect to the builder and the finisher, hundreds of human beings offering their career and craft all set to answer your call. You need building materials. They lie stacked in stores and shops ready to be delivered where you want them. Was it within your power and control to assemble all these things on your own?
The fact is that this system cannot be established and activated through the force of law, even by the mightiest of the mighty government anywhere in the world. There is no doubt about the fact that the logistic support of this viably running universal system is the work of Allah alone, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining Sustainer of all (Al-Haiyy, Al-Qaiyyum). If human beings still hasten to claim that all this comes from their plans and workings, there is not much that can be said about their claim, for ignorance shall remain what it is.
“You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account.” [Al-Quran 3:27]
Allah the Great is so powerful that He made the green plants grow from the dry seeds. He creates the chick inside the dead egg and the chicks come out of the egg by breaking the hard shell of the egg by its soft beak. Who gave power to the chick to break the hard shell and come out of the egg as a living bird and just start walking on the earth? Similarly He has the power to make the human beings alive after death and come out of the grave. Because Allah the great promises through His messengers and books that there is a life after death.
